New Boss
Early in June I had a couple of interviews with SecureState, a computer security consultancy in Cleveland. They were looking for a technical writer to join a team that creates the final reports after the ethical hackers try to break into a client’s computer network.
六月の上旬「SecureState」という会社で就職の面接をしました。クリーブランドのコンピューターのセキュリティーのコンサルタント会社です。同僚のハッカーが顧客のコンピューターネットワークをに押し入たら報告書を作成するチームは書士ゃ草を採用しました。
Apparently they liked me because I am now employed there. As of this post I have only gone in a few times, but everyone has been friendly and helpful. The company is fairly young, so it is really casual. Many people wear jeans or even shorts, there is a pool table and other games in the break room, and a Nerf war is scheduled for next month.
今この会社に採用しているから一見したところ私がほしかった。今前二三回行ったけど皆さんは友好的で便りになります。会社はちょっと新しいからカジュアルです。 ジーンズとかショーツでもはいています。休憩室にビリヤードとかあります。 来月ナーフの戦争があります。
I am very happy to be back in the workforce. Slowly, my life is lurching forward again.
また雇用するのがいいです。 ゆっくりに生活は進んでいます。
New Wheels
In most places in America, life is difficult without a car. My commute from my Mom’s house to work is about a half-hour and no public transportation goes on the same route. So I headed to our local Toyota dealer and, after some severe negotiation, bought this green 2013 Camry.
アメリカにほとんど車ないで生活が難しいです。お母さんの家から仕事に三十分がかかって公共輸送がありません。近いToyotaの店に行って交渉の後この緑の２０１３のCamryを買いました。
It is easily the nicest and most comfortable car I have ever owned. My favorite feature is the radio system, which integrates with my smartphone, allowing me to play files from the Internet.
私は所有したくるまの中にこれが絶対に一番いいです。一番好きな特徴はラジオです。スマホとつけてインターネットのファイルをできます。
Lonely Gaming
Since my return to America, I have not had a chance to find a local game group to play with. Needing a fix, I have been using two solo card games to avoid withdrawal. The first was the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game; Rise of the Runelords. I have played this game with six players in the past and hated it, but as a solo game it works much better. While it has a strong theme, there is not enough strategy or tactics and too much randomness for my taste. The Lord of the Rings; The Card Game is a much better solo game. I started playing this game in Japan but lacked a table big enough to hold all the cards, so I did not use it often. In America I rediscovered my love for this very difficult game. Although Sauron and his allies sometimes mercilessly crush my merry band of adventurers, most games are a tricky balance of aggressive and defensive, with plenty of room for CCG-style card combinations.
帰るから近いゲームグループを見つけません。だからソロゲームを二つしています。Pathfinderと言うカードゲームは初めです。今前六人とこのゲームをしたことがあるけどきらかったです。一人のほうがいいです。テームはいいですけど戦略があまりなくてランダムです。The Lord of the Ringsのほうがいいソロゲームだと思います。日本にはじめてけどいいテベルがなかったからあまりしませんでした。アメリカにこの難しいゲームをもう一回しました。Sauronと同盟は私のチームをよく負かしてもゲームはアグレシブとデフェんシブのコンボがかかります。
Chopsticks
Many Japanese people do not understand that many Americans learn to use chopsticks in Asian restaurants. As proof, here is my nephew, Gabriel, learning at Benihanna.
アジアの料理のレストランではしを習うアメリカ人がたくさんいることがわからない日本人がたくさんいませ。証明としてべにはなで練習しているGabrielと言うおいです。
