This month I have some photos from two local festivals but only one miscellaneous photo. I blame the heat.
今月は二枚の地元の祭りの写真があります。でも雑多な写真は一枚です。暑さのせいにしておきます。
Asagaya Tanabata
I had not been back to this nearby festival since before Covid. The papier-mâché suspended from the roof of the shopping arcade did not disappoint.
コロナパンデミックの前を最後に、この近くの祭りにはずっと行っていませんでした。商店街のアーケードの天井から吊り下げられた張り子飾りは、まだ面白かったです。
Koenji Awa Odori
The end of August was the beginning of a weeks-long downpour that saw train station closures and flooding streets in parts of Japan. I sat in the rain for about 90 minutes of the parade on Saturday but was reticent to take my camera out. Sunday was overcast but dry enough for photography.
八月末は、日本の一部地域での駅閉鎖や水浸しの道を引き起こした数週間の雨季の始まりでした。土曜日に雨の中で約90分間、パレードを見るのに座ったけれど、カメラを取り出すのはためらわれました。日曜日は曇っていたけれど、撮影には十分乾きました。
