December 2024 – Tokyo Comic Con

December featured a trip to the Tokyo Comic Con and another to the U.S.

十二月に東京コミコンとアメリカに行きました。

Of all the shows and events that had to recover from the pandemic, Tokyo Comic Con seemed to me to take the longest to bounce back. Perhaps it is too dependent on overseas goods and guests.

パンデミックから回復したイベントの中で、東京コミコンは一番時間がかかったように思います。海外の商品とお客に頼りすぎているからかもしれません。

I still think the show suffers from having too much space devoted to things unrelated to comics. The cosplay, while high-quality, could use some more organization. But Artist Alley was impressive and the stage performances seemed well-attended.

イベントにはコミックと関係がない物の展示がまだ沢山ありすぎると思います。コスプレは良質だけれど、もっと整理が必要です。でも、アーティスト通りは素敵で、ステージパフォーマンスも盛況でした。
