September this year was not particularly interesting. There was a small typhoon that knocked the trains out for a day. (This was not the big typhoon you have heard about recently. That’s in next month’s Bradblog entry.) I met my old nemesis, the Tokyo Game Show. And I did a little photography at a small cosplay event.
今年の九月は特別に面白くはありませんでした。 電車を止めた？小さい台風がありました。 （これは最近ニュースで読んでいた大きい台風じゃありません。これは来月のBradblog更新でです。） 東京ゲームショーという古い天敵に会いました。そして小さいコスプレのイベントで少し撮影をしました。
Tokyo Game Show 2019
Every year I say I am not going to go, and every year I go. Tokyo Game Show is a giant computer games show whose cacophony is exceed only by the length of the lines in front of the game demos. As usual, I got pushed around by the crowd, outraged by the food prices, and bored waiting in lines for photos. Still, even though I always curse this show, I always end up with some fun photos.
毎年行かないと言いつつ毎年行きます。 東京ゲームショーは、不快な音調とデモ前の長い行列がたくさんある、大きいパソコンとコンソールゲームのイベントです。 相変わらず群衆に押されて、食べ物の値段に怒りを感じて、撮影のための行列で待っているのにあきあきしました。でもこのショーをいつも呪っているのに面白い写真がとれます。
Cosplay at TFT
By the end of my first stay in Japan, I regularly attended small cosplay shows at medium-sized exhibition halls. For a low price, I could practice photography all day with nearly endless models. It took me until this month to finally get back to a show like this.
日本に初めての滞在中に、中位の大きさの会館で小さいコスプレのイベントにたくさん行っていました。安くて一日中果てないモデルの撮影ができました。今月やっとそんなイベントに行けるようになりました。
