In April I moved to Indeed’s new office and declared war on my to-do list.
四月にIndeedの新しい事務所に引っ越して、 「やることリスト」に戦線布告しました。
Diner’s Club
I managed to meet up with some old friends this month. Eiichi and I tried a newfangled ramen shop where you dip your noodles rather than having them served in the soup. It was a nice meal but the place was really crowded. Masumi, Hiroko, and I tried a new (to me) Indian place in Koenji. Finally, Kazumi and I went to one of my old favorites, Yon Chome in Koenji, for burgers and language exchange.
今月、昔からの友達と食事に出かけられました。 えいいちさんと秋葉原の汁と一緒に出されるのではなく、汁に漬けるタイプのつけ麺という新しいスタイルのラーメンを食べました。 この店は麺と汁を別々に出されて、汁に麺を漬けなくちゃいけませんでした。 美味しかっただけど、込みすぎでした。 ますみさんとひろこさんとは、高円寺の新しい（私には）インド料理レストランに行ってみました。 また、和美さんとは昔からある大好きな高円寺の「四丁目」でバーガーを食べて言語交換をしました。
We’re Going Down Downtown
This month, I moved to the brand new Indeed office in Tamachi. The new office is less idiosyncratic and comfortable than the old office. But the food is better. And there are tons of board-game-ready tables available.
今月、田町のIndeedの新しい事務所に引っ越しました。新しい事務所より前の事務所のほうが個性的で気楽でした。でも食べ物はより美味しいです。 そしてボードゲームのしごこちのよいテーブルがたくさんあります。
Golden Week 2019
This year’s Golden Week, a series of national holidays, is slightly longer than normal, so I had 12 consecutive days off at the end of April and the beginning of May. Initially, I wanted to travel to Osaka but as Golden Week approached, I realized that all I really wanted to do was rest at home. I have had a busy 5 months! So I decided to declare war on my to-do list and swore to spend time every day whittling it down. The week started out well as I swam through the paperwork necessary to moving all my banking to my new bank. Tune in next month to see if I triumphed!
今年の ゴールデンウィークという連休は普通より長いから、四月の月末から五月の初旬まで12日間の連休がありました。 はじめは大阪に旅行をしたいと思ったけれど、ゴールデンウィークが来たら家でのんびりしたいと気づきました。 ここ五か月がすごく忙しかったからです！ だから「やることリスト」に戦線布告して、毎日少しずつやることにしました。 今週はよく進み、初めて新しい銀行の書類作業をしました。 私が勝ったかどうか、来月このブログを読んでください！
Brad’s Gameapalooza
At Okusawa, I tried the bird-themed hit “Wingspan” (meh,) then the very popular Eminent Domain (meh,) and finally the ever-present cooperative “Spirit Island” (meh.) I’m sensing a trend here.
In happier news I taught my coworker, Jeff, how to play ”Carcassonne” and he loved it. I also attended my first work-related game night and played the best-selling “Terraforming Mars” (and… meh.)
奥沢で鳥のテーマの「Wingspan」をして（まあまあです,）、一般的人気がある「Eminent Domain」をして（まあまあです,）、今だにみんなに遊ばれている「Spirit Island」をしました（まあまあです）。 全部まあまあでした。
嬉しいことに、同僚のJeffに「Carcassonne」を教えたら、彼は気にいったといいました。 そして初めて事務所のゲームイベントをしてロングセラー「Terraforming Mars」をしました。（まあまあです。）
