This month I have a few cherry blossoms, a pagoda, and weird food lined up.
Daishi Park
I headed down to Kawasaki to check out Daishi Park and one of its festivals. The park had some impressive buildings, although quite a few were under construction.
Sakura at Yoyogi Park
The cherry blossoms were two weeks late this year. I had scheduled a couple days off to try and shoot them with a new macro lens, but had to scramble at the end of the month due to the delay. Yoyogi Park’s Sakura Garden produced an impressive display.
Macha Restaurant
I ate at a restaurant whose theme was bitter-green-tea-infused recipes. The tea and cola tasted like all the sugar had been removed (although the apple and green tea was reportedly good.) The green tea tempura was nice but I could not identify many of the pieces. The green tea sausages tasted like regular sausages, although the problem might have been that my taste buds were numbed to the flavor by then. Finally, the scrambled eggs with green tea and miso sauce were pretty good.
