Christmas and New Years<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The last year of the month was very quiet for me. I spent about 10 days hanging out with my Mom in my hometown. I watched a bunch of movies, ate way too many cookies, and had a nice Christmas celebration at my ister’s house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather was surprisingly warm, but we did have one day of heavy snow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Walk Down Cheapass Lane<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you played games with me in the 90’s or 2000’s, then you almost certainly played some Cheapass Games, cheap and funny board and card games printed in black and white and stored in white envelopes. Due to economic reasons, Cheapass Games produces very few new games these days. However, the main creator, James Ernest, recently compiled a book called “Cheapass Games in Black and White” that contains the rules to all of those black and white games along with commentary on the history of each game. (You can actually download and print complete PDFs of many of these games for free.) I found the book a fun read as well as a large dose of gaming nostolgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
