This month the rainy season gave way to some awful, steamy, humid days that left me wanting to do nothing other that lay under my air conditioner.  I managed to get out of my apartment enough to attend Wonder Festival and to play some games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wonder Festival Summer, 2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Typically held in February, Wonder Festival is a spectacular figure and toy show that, for some reason, also has an excellent cosplay segment. For the first time, they held a second show in one year, at the end of this month. A typhoon the night before the show threatened to cancel it. Instead, it pushed the humidity up to 70% and temperatures broke 30 degrees Celsius. Inside the giant convention center, the air conditioning and shade kept it bearable, but I could not stand to be outside in the sun for more than a few minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
