I visited Indeed&#8217;s HQ in Austin, Texas for two weeks of training and overeating. This month, I was also busy furnishing my apartment. The most interesting thing I bought was this cool kitchen table. It folds down on both sides, so it takes up very little room in my small place when not in use. The four folding chairs fit in the base of the table for added convenience. In my experience, Japanese neighbors are interested in saying little more than &#8220;Good Morning&#8221; to me, so when I exited my place at the same time as the woman next door, that&#8217;s all I spoke before heading downstairs. To my surprise, she caught up with me on the sidewalk outside and we chatted all the way to the train station. The answer to the mystery of why she was more willing to talk to me than any of my Japanese neighbors was that she was Vietnamese. She could not speak English, but her Japanese was better than mine, so we managed to make ourselves Toys, and Comics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>February contains my favorite cosplay event, which is the toy figure show called &#8220;Wonder Festival.&#8221; The temperature was bitterly low this year, but there were still some good costumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e8c\u6708\u306f\u300cWonder shows in Tokyo, creators are only allowed to bring original characters and creations to Cometia, making it a really interesting show. I picked up a neat collection of drawings that were all head and chest drawings of the same girl in different costumes. I was there to meet my team and to get some training on unfamiliar aspects of my job. My coworkers were pleasant and I got a reasonable amount of work done, although I had to fight a nasty case of jet-lag the entire trip. The highlight of the trip was the HQ cafeteria, which features breakfast and lunch every day, a coffee bar with made-to-order smoothies, and an ice-cream case full of things I should not eat.
