The first was my move to a new apartment. The second was the construction of my first ever home-built PC. It is a pretty standard technical writing job. I work for the IT security department and have to document IT policies and procedures so that we can comply with various sets of regulations. My boss is very laid back and my coworkers are friendly. A moving company did all the heavy lifting and my mom and her best friend did an amazing job of setting up my kitchen. The garage is great for reducing the annoyance of Ohio winters. The apartment is more than big enough to hold all of my stuff. I wanted to get out for a visit before the predicted snows fell, I headed North the weekend after my move,  The food and conversation were as good as always. Jim and I failed to save the world from annihilation in the board game Eldritch Horror. Then I failed to save Europe from Jim&#8217;s vampiric dominance in Fury of Dracula.<\/p>\n<p>\u65b0\u3057\u3044\u30a2\u30d1\u30fc\u30c8\u306e\u307b\u3046\u304c\u30a2\u30f3\u30a2\u30fc\u30d0\u30fc\u306b\u4f4f\u3093\u3067\u3044\u308b\u53cb\u9054\u306e\u5bb6\u306b\uff14\uff15\u5206\u8fd1\u3044\u3067\u3059\u3002\u3000\u96ea\u306e\u524d\u8a2a\u306d\u305f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u5f15\u3063\u8d8a\u3059\u306e\u5f8c\u4e00\u9031\u9593\u5317\u306b\u884c\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u3000\u98df\u7269\u3082\u4f1a\u8a71\u3082\u3044\u3064\u3082\u3088\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3002\u3000\u30b8\u30fc\u30e0\u3068\u8a00\u3046\u53cb\u9054\u3068\u30dc\u30fc\u30c9\u30b2\u30fc\u30e0\u3092\u4e8c\u3064\u3057\u3066\u79c1\u306f\u8ca0\u3051\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<h2>It&#8217;s Alive!<\/h2>\n<p>Ever since I bought my first PC in 1989 I have wanted to build my own. I intended to build one while I lived in Japan because my favorite stomping grounds, Akihabara, was full of PC parts stores. But I was never able to spend the money or dedicated the time.<\/p>\n<p>1989\u5e74\u306b\u30d1\u30bd\u30b3\u30f3\u3092\u8cb7\u3063\u3066\u59cb\u3081\u305f\u3089\u30d1\u30bd\u30b3\u30f3\u3092\u81ea\u4f5c\u3057\u305f\u3044\u3067\u3059\u3002\u3000\u65e5\u672c\u306b\u4f4f\u3080\u6642\u79cb\u8449\u539f\u306f\u30b3\u30f3\u30d4\u30e5\u30fc\u30bf\u30fc\u90e8\u54c1\u306e\u5e97\u304c\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u3042\u308b\u3051\u3069\u6642\u9593\u3068\u304a\u91d1\u304c\u8db3\u308a\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>During the months leading up to my move, I diligently researched all of the latest hardware and created a plan using www.tomshardware.com\/ and http:\/\/pcpartpicker.com\/. Soon after moving, I ordered all the parts on-line and they arrived in a myriad of boxes. However, I am glad I did it once. I spent Christmas Day at my sister&#8217;s house with her family and my mom. It being our first Christmas without my father, I felt a little sad most of the day. But my sister&#8217;s kids had a good time and the food was great as always.
