Most importantly, and most interestingly, I took a long overdue trip to Ann Arbor to visit my old friends Jim and Alison. The rest of this update is devoted to miscellaneous goofing off.<\/p>\n<p>\u4e5d\u6708\u306f\u9759\u304b\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002\u4e00\u756a\u5927\u5207\u3067\u9762\u767d\u3044\u3082\u306e\u306f\u30a2\u30ca\u30fc\u30d0\u30fc\u306b\u30b8\u30e0\u3068\u30a2\u30ea\u30bd\u30f3\u3068\u8a00\u3046\u6614\u304b\u3089\u53cb\u9054\u306b\u8a2a\u554f\u304c\u5ef6\u3073\u5ef6\u3073\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u66f4\u65b0\u306e\u4ed6\u306f\u8272\u3005\u306a\u3055\u3055\u3044\u4e8b\u67c4\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<h2>Ann Arbor<\/h2>\n<p>Although my friend from Kindergarten, Jim, and his wife, Alison, live a three-hour drive away, I visit embarrassingly seldom. But I managed during the long Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. Ann Arbor is a very nice small town with lots of bookstores and restaurants. It is also the home to the University of Michigan, so many of those stores cater to college kids. Thus, the restaurants feature all kinds of ethnic food, the down-town area is great for strolling around, and the comic book store is truly awesome.<\/p>\n<p>\u30b8\u30e0\u3068\u8a00\u3046\u5e7c\u7a1a\u5712\u304b\u3089\u53cb\u9054\u3068\u30a2\u30ea\u30bd\u30f3\u3068\u8a00\u3046\u5965\u3055\u3093\u304c\u79c1\u304b\u3089\u8eca\u3067\u4e09\u6642\u9593\u306a\u306e\u306b\u3042\u307e\u308a\u8a2a\u554f\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002\u3067\u3082\u30ec\u30a4\u30d0\u30fc\u3067\u30fc\u306b\u3057\u3066\u697d\u3057\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3067\u3059\u3002\u30a2\u30ca\u30fc\u30d0\u30fc\u306f\u672c\u5c4b\u3068\u30ec\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30f3\u304c\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u3042\u3063\u3066\u5c0f\u3055\u304f\u3066\u3044\u3044\u753a\u3067\u3059\u3002\u30df\u30b7\u30ac\u30f3\u306e\u5927\u5b66\u3082\u3042\u308b\u304b\u3089\u5927\u5b66\u751f\u306f\u305d\u306e\u5e97\u3092\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u5165\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3060\u304b\u3089\u30a8\u30b9\u30cb\u30c3\u30af\u306e\u6599\u7406\u304c\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u3042\u3063\u3066\u6563\u6b69\u3057\u5fc3\u5730\u304c\u3088\u304f\u3066\u6f2b\u753b\u3084\u304c\u3059\u3070\u3089\u3057\u3044\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Jim and Al have lived in Ann Arbor long enough to know all the good places for dinner, so we had some excellent Indian food one night and barbecue the other. Alison is an excellent cook, so the food we ate at home was a delight. And even Jim produced excellent waffles for breakfast one morning.<\/p>\n<p>\u7f8e\u5473\u3057\u3044\u30ec\u30b9\u30c8\u30e9\u30f3\u304c\u5168\u90e8\u308f\u304b\u308b\u9650\u308a\u306b\u30b8\u30e0\u3068\u30a2\u30eb\u306f\u30a2\u30ca\u30fc\u30d0\u30fc\u306b\u9032\u3080\u6642\u304c\u9577\u3044\u304b\u3089\u7f8e\u5473\u3057\u3044\u30a4\u30f3\u30c9\u306e\u6599\u7406\u3068\u30d0\u30fc\u30d9\u30ad\u30e5\u30fc\u3092ji\u3002\u30a2\u30ea\u30bd\u30f3\u306f\u6599\u7406\u3092\u3059\u308d\u306e\u304c\u4e0a\u624b\u3060\u304b\u3089\u5bb6\u3067\u98df\u3079\u305f\u98df\u3079\u7269\u3082\u3088\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3067\u3059\u3002\u30b8\u30e0\u304b\u3089\u3057\u3066\u671d\u3054\u98ef\u306e\u30ef\u30c3\u30d5\u30eb\u3092\u4f5c\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>In between meals we managed to squeeze in a few board games. I taught Jim Netrunner and I he taught me Eldritch Horror (and, of course, we died violently in that one.) During the second evening I got to meet several of their local friends who brought even more good food.<\/p>\n<p>\u3054\u98ef\u306e\u9593\u306b\u30dc\u30fc\u30c9\u30b2\u30fc\u30e0\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u79c1\u306f\u30b8\u30e0\u306b\u30cd\u30c3\u30c8\u30e9\u30ca\u30fc\u3092\u6559\u3048\u3066\u30b8\u30e0\u306f\u79c1\u306b\u30a8\u30eb\u30c9\u30ea\u30c3\u30c1\u30db\u30fc\u3092\u6559\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\uff08\u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3042\u306e\u30b2\u30fc\u30e0\u306b\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u5927\u5909\u306b\u6b7b\u306b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\uff09\u4e8c\u3064\u76ee\u306e\u6669\u4e2d\u30b8\u30e0\u3068\u30a2\u30ea\u30bd\u30f3\u306e\u7f8e\u5473\u3057\u3044\u98df\u3079\u7269\u3092\u6301\u3063\u3066\u6765\u3066\u3044\u308b\u53cb\u9054\u3092\u59cb\u3081\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>As I said, I do not get up their nearly enough, but I made a promise to travel once more before the snow begins to fall.<\/p>\n<p>\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\u5341\u5206\u3042\u305d\u3053\u884c\u304b\u306a\u3044\u3051\u3069\u96ea\u306e\u524d\u3082\u3046\u4e00\u56de\u884c\u304f\u306e\u4e88\u7d04\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<h2>Lookadeer!<\/h2>\n<p>Eastlake is home to many tiny patches of woods. I thought I would share some of my favorite new discoveries in Japanese music this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u5e74\u3092\u53d6\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306b\u30a4\u30f3\u30bf\u30fc\u30cd\u30c3\u30c8\u3067\u65b0\u3057\u3044\u97f3\u697d\u3092\u3044\u3064\u3082\u63a2\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002\u6700\u8fd1\u898b\u3064\u3051\u305f\u97f3\u697d\u3092\u5206\u3051\u5408\u3046\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<h3>Tricot<\/h3>\n<p>I have known about Tricot, a math rock back of three women from Kyoto, for awhile now. They are very skilled, but not always exciting. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/FetsZlqmlWM\">This song, however, featuring 7 drum solos, rocks.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u4e09\u4eba\u306e\u4eac\u90fd\u306e\u5973\u306e\u4eba\u300cTricot\u300d\u8a00\u3046\u30de\u30b9\u30ed\u30c3\u30af\u306e\u30d0\u30f3\u30c9\u304c\u308f\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u4e0a\u624b\u3067\u3059\u3051\u3069\u66f2\u304c\u6642\u3005<br \/>\n\u304a\u3082\u3057\u308d\u304f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/FetsZlqmlWM\">\u3053\u306e\u66f2\u306f\u30c9\u30e9\u30e0\u30bd\u30ed\u304c\u4e03\u3064\u6709\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>A Crow Is White<\/h3>\n<p>I just recently learned about this young band. They are a bit Japanese Pop and a bit math rock. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/c-M7cvJy1IY\"of which >They have about three or four good tunes, this is one<\/a>.\u3000<\/p>\n<p>\u6700\u8fd1\u3053\u306e\u82e5\u3044\u30d0\u30f3\u30c9\u304c\u898b\u3064\u3051\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002Jpop\u3068\u30de\u30b9\u30ed\u30c3\u30af\u3067\u3059\u3002<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/c-M7cvJy1IY\">\u3044\u3044\u66f2\u304c\u4e09\u3064\u56db\u3064\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Yoshida Brothers<\/h3>\n<p>The Yoshida Brothers play a traditional Japanese instrument called a shamisen. It is a bit like a banjo that they pluck using a special tool. Most of the shamisen songs I have heard are quiet ballads. However, they are used in some traditional dances like Koenji&#8217;s famous Awa Oodori.
